Crow’s pistol
Manufactured by: Falcon Arms
Type: FA73-fh Acuracy
The FA73 Acuracy is a old but popular weapon.
This version is known as the FA73-fh, where the fh stands for front holster.
This means that the weapon is specialy designed for the Falcon Arms Front Draw Holster.
Also this weapon has some special features for use by pilots, like the eject/arm button and a slightly larger trigger guard for the use of gloves.
The gun is also nicknamed as “the pilot gun” or more popular as the “Space Defender”.
High energy laser, powered by a litle replaceable high power pack.
The power pack can be replaced like a clip on a normal weapon.
Spare power packs can be carried in belt pouches.
The power packs are of the low cost one time usable type.
A powerfull handgun, specialy designed for pilots.
Also suitable for use in space vacuum.
It comes with the Falcon Arms front draw holster.
This leg holster is specialy designed to draw the gun to the front.
Since you dont need to lift the pistol first before you can draw it, makes it
specialy usefull for pilots who sit in a seat or if you wear heavy gear
which restrics the movement of the arm.
Just push the eject/arm button, this “ejects” the gun from the holster and puts it on armed at the same time.
This holster is also very usefull for fast drawing in emergencies.
Well I will start with modeling the pistol first, the holster will be modeled later on when I start modeling
Crow’s gear.
Tossing back and forward idea’s for the design I got inspired by a rifle which is used in a game.
Its called Urban Stalker and is used in the Entropia Universe (www.entropiauniverse.com)
The back part above the grip was what I had in mind, so I will use a picture of it as a guide.

Making the first setup using the urban picture as background.
Not planing to copy the gun but just use it for the basic model.
After the first shaping and adding the barrel end we have a start.
All in all not a bad start, on to adding the frond piece.

Front end in place, it starts to look like a gun already.
After smoothing the meshes it will look much better.

I smoothed the mesh and added the underside of the gun.
Things realy start to take shape now, I also started on the tail end.

So I desided to drop the front end and move the barrel back into the main upper piece.
I realy like the barrel piece and whitout the front end it starts to look more as a pistol.

This looks way better.
Especialy the barrel end hidden under the top end makes it look as a heavy pistol.
It now has that bulky bullpup look. This is a work horse ![]()
It has that ruged look, designed for though tasks.
Tail end is modeled and I pulled the barrel a little out.
Personaly I like this look better, its not as boxie as the previous and it adds some more detail.

Next step wil be the modeling of the hand grip.
Starting with basic shape, from here I will model a more smooth and organic grip.

There we go, a nice shaped grip.
Here I also added the trigger and trigger guard and reshaped the tail of the gun.

I smoothed the mesh and made a render with some chrome and rubber shaders.
It realy starts to become a gun now. Still some details need to be added though.

Added the needed details like aiming sight, batterie ejection button and weapon eject/arm button.
And smoothed out the mesh. I also made the UV maps needed for the gun at this point.

Below you see the finished gun.
First picture is a clay model with the bump and displacement maps in place.

And here the gun rendered with bump/displacement, shaders and textures.

Next task, making the attachments like a scope.
Kind regards.
